On the sidelines of the third meeting of JURISAI’s Governing Board, the Capacity Building Committee (CBC) and the Finance, Administration and Communication Committee (FACC) held their respective annual meetings on September 22, 2026 at the Belém Cultural Center in Lisbon.

These two meetings provided an opportunity to take stock of their activities carried out in 2026, to review the state of progress of the 2025-2027 action plan and to start reflecting on key priorities for the work of the committees as part of the next 2028-2030 Strategic Plan.

The CBC meeting proceedings thus revealed that 2026 activities milestones include hosting a seminar in Dakar on "the management of competencies of professionals involved in the jurisdictional activities of SAIs," launching the adoption process for the P50 guidelines, compiling a "compendium of provisions relating to jurisdictional activities in the IFPP," and preparing a "synthesis report on jurisdictional activities in the IDI’s Global Stocktaking Reports." In 2027, this committee will implement an action plan comprising:

• Organizing workshops on “quality management of jurisdictional procedures”, “fair trial” and “management of support activities”;
• Launching immersion internships;
• Preparing a compendium of good practices in investigation and a guide for the evaluation of jurisdictional activities;

FACC developed and adopted its action implementation framework and made two videos on "the values and benefits of jurisdictional SAIs" and on "the 12 principles of P50". Its efforts in 2027 will focus essentially on the implementation of the JURISAI communication plan through institutional channels and the quarterly newsletter, the development of explanatory multimedia content and the development of a "Knowledge Hub" and a "jurisprudence database".
