Pursuant to the the Rabat Declaration Resolution entitled “the creation of the  international organization SAIs endowed with a jurisdictional mandate – JURISAI, an engagement group, consistening of the SAIs of Brazil, Ecuador, France, Morocco and Portugal was set up by the signatories of the aforementioned declaration to draft the statutes of JURISAI and to organize its constitutive meeting

The draft statutes, prepared by this group, were circulated in May 2024 to all the member SAIs of the Forum seeking suggestions and proposals for improving the project.

This consultative process resulted in the signing of these statutes by 33 member SAIs of the Forum during the inaugural meeting of JURISAI held on June 27, 2024 in Casablanca subsequently to the first general assembly of JURISAI held in Paris on October 8, 2024.
