The senior representatives of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) sitting on the JURISAI Steering Committee convened for a strategic technical meeting held in Rabat on June 10, 2025. The meeting aimed at strengthening the operationalization of the organization’s governing bodies and advancing the implementation of its 2025–2027 Strategic Plan.
The meeting brought together Presidents of SAIs, Secretaries General, and other senior technical officials representing the SAIs of France, Portugal, Brazil, Senegal, Italy, Spain, Mauritania, Angola, Djibouti, and Morocco.
In her opening statement, Ms. Zineb El Adaoui, Secretary General of JURISAI and host of the meeting, emphasized that technical cooperation and experience sharing are crucial and instrumental to bolstering the performance of JURISAI member SAIs—particularly in the context of an evolving digital transformation landscape and increasing fiscal pressures. She also commended the progress achieved in structuring JURISAI and underscored the significance of this inaugural Steering Committee meeting to set in motion the effective rollout of the action plan, to lay the foundations of a sustainable impact, and cement JURISAI’s legitimacy within the INTOSAI community.
The proceedings of the meeting focused primarily on an agenda, including:
• Reviewing of action plans and terms of reference for the standing committees;
• Discussing draft financial regulations of the Organization and related financial and budgetary management aspects;
• Presenting the roadmap for JURISAI’s partnership development strategy.
The meeting also served as an opportunity to discuss the preparatory steps for organizing the first meeting of the JURISAI Steering Committee, scheduled for September 11 in Brasília, and JURISAI’s planned participation in the 25th INCOSAI to be held in October in Egypt.
The proceedings concluded with the presentation of JURISAI’s official website, which was recently launched, marking a key milestone in the Organization’s communication strategy. At the conclusion of this meeting, Steering Committee members reiterated their shared commitment to advancing the JURISAI project and to promoting the jurisdictional audit model within the INTOSAI framework.
On the sidelines of the meeting, participants took part in an international seminar organized on June 11, 2025 by JURISAI and the Court of Accounts of the Kingdom of Morocco, on the theme: “Communication of SAIs and their jurisdictional activities: Challenges and Opportunities.”
