JURISAI’s Capacity Building Committee (CBC) is set to hold its first seminar on July 21-23, 2026 in Dakar on "Competency Management for Professionals Exercising Jurisdictional Functions: Normative Framework, Current Practice, Challenges and Outlook".

By choosing this theme, the CBC aims to:

• Contribute to the dissemination of INTOSAI standards pertaining to competency management;
• Identify the requirements and conditions for the effective implementation of competency management frameworks;
• Lead collective brainstorming about the challenges to be anticipated in the area of competency management;
• Promote the sharing of experiences and best practices in competency management.

This seminar is part of the implementation of Objective 2.1, “to Develop training, continuing education and exchange programs and projects tailored to the needs of SAIs with jurisdictional functions”, as set out in the CBC Action Plan 2025–2027.
