The Public Prosecutors Offices Committee (PPOsC) will hold its first seminar in Rome on 17 and 18 September 2026. The meeting, to be hosted by the Corte Dei Conti of Italy will provide an opportunity to initiate the establishment of a network of public prosecutors and to lay the foundations for a shared cultural framework, in line with the mission of the PPOC and within the scope of Objectives 1.3 and 1.4 of the JURISAI Strategic Plan.

The programme of this event, which will be open to the participation of all JURISAI members, will include thematic presentations as well as discussion and exchange sessions on the role and functions of public prosecution and on issues of common interest. On the margins of the seminar, the Committee will hold a meeting dedicated to discuss the implementation of its three-year action plan.

It is worth mentioning that PPOsC is one of JURISAI’s permanent committees. It aims to foster dialogue and cooperation among public prosecutors in the member SAIs, in particular through the promotion of best practices in the exercise of public prosecution functions.

The Committee is currently chaired by the Corte Dei Conti (SAI Italy) and comprises 13 public prosecutors offices from JURISAI member SAIs. Its 2025–2027 Action Plan notably includes:
• the organisation of seminars and training activities for prosecutors offices;
• the development of the Prosecutors’ Network and activities for knowledge-sharing, dissemination of best practices, and the exchange of information relating to prosecutorial activities;
• the development of exchange programmes and mutual assistance initiatives;
• the preparation of guidelines, the conduct of surveys and studies, and the promotion of research.
